Lieutenant - T.Teller
Lieutenant Teller graduated from the University of Phoenix with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and later went on to graduate from the University of Houston Downtown Basic Peace Officer Academy in December of 2009. He joined the department in 2015. At that time, he had seven years of prior experience in Law Enforcement, during which time he served for three years as a member of the Crisis Intervention Response Team with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Mental Health Unit. This was a unit that was formed to serve those who suffered from mental health crises.
During Lieutenant Teller’s tenure with the City of Splendora, he has advanced within the department multiple times promoted to his current rank of Lieutenant. He currently oversees Operations and Logistics. He also has completed numerous advanced certifications such as Advanced Accident Reconstructionist through TEEX (Texas A&M Engineering Extension Services), Hostage Negotiator and active member with Texas Association of Hostage Negotiators, Public Information Officer, Cyber Crimes Investigator, Internal Affairs Investigator, Field Training Instructor, Police Instructor, and Mental Health Officer through the State of Texas. He is a recent graduate of the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy program through the Executive Command Leadership Institute and currently holds his Advance Peace Officer License.
